Permanent exposition

The museum's permanent exposition covers the period of modern history of the Republic of Belarus from 1990 to the present day. The exposition is dedicated to the achievements of our country in different fields: socio-economic, cultural, sports, scientific and other. Particular attention in the exposition is given to the description of political structure of the state and its position in the international arena.

The exposition of the Museum of Contemporary Belarusian Statehood is located in six halls. The opening hall is dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus. There are models of architectural monuments built or reconstructed during the country's independence; as well as pictures of the coat-armours of Belarusian cities.

The first hall of the main exposition is dedicated to the state structure of the Republic of Belarus. Visitors can see the documents and video materials of the formation period of the modern Belarusian statehood. Overview of the presidential and state symbols, banknotes and coins of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, state awards and Heroes of Belarus.

The second hall tells about the socio-economic development of Belarus. Its exposition shows the visitors recent activities of the National Academy of Sciences, the achievements of the Belarusian chemical and petrochemical industry, engineering, agriculture, medicine.

The third hall tells about the development of culture and sport in the country. There are awards of cultural figures and artists, models of cultural and sports facilities, Olympic awards of Belarusian athletes.

The fourth hall introduces the communal situation in the country, as well as the various aspects of Belarus' foreign policy. There are gifts to the President from foreign delegations among the museum exhibits and much more.

There is a conference hall in the museum, which is designed for temporary exhibitions, interactive and patriotic events, as well as for the negotiations of foreign delegations.

The concept authors of the permanent exposition of the Museum of Contemporary Belarusian Statehood are S.I. Bespansky, O.I. Ladisov (academic secretary of the National Historical Museum of Belarus), D.G. Shlyakhtin, M.U. Gleb (head of the Central Scientific Archive of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus), I.B. Lapteonok (candidate of philological sciences).

Fund Collection

The museum’s archive contains about 4,000 depository items, 800 of which are represented in five halls. The hardware part is complemented by information products, using the multimedia technologies of the XXI century. There are 1609 texts, 674 films, of which 258 with narrative text, the total length of films is 22 hours 23 minutes.
